the swing of things

well back from sydney and i had to take the day of yesterday to kind of shake off a sore throat and also to reintroduce myself to some very clingy chubbies! so we had a lovely day complete with visit to McDonalds for their usual request for low fat muffin and bucket of fruit (but gasp horror, buckets of fruit no longer on the menu!! we had to buy chips instead!!!). i am kinda of surprised how tired i was by the effort of being away; makes me really dread the trip to england! but anyway: the lovely thing is that being home is as lovely as i remembered.

second best but still not bad

and if i can't have cj and the chubbies to wind down with then a glass of wine, a cherry ripe and big fluffy white pillows (actually an inordinate amount of pillows now that i notice) AND digital TV goes some way to easing the pain. thank god for compensations! (and i even get this broadband access for free, cause the dial up wasn't working! actually there is a bit of a pattern here; this morning i got a free taxi ride cause the one taxi in the blue mountains town i was staing at was out of service, but the driver didn't want to let people down, and drove his other car, but wasn't able/willing to charge how neat?? kind?? sweet?? ...i wonder what else might be in the wind...oh yes, i also got a free newspaper.... it's no luxury cruise but still, it all feels good.

it certainly sounds like things are going your way. Which, if you get to choose, is the option to choose.

grown up girl

well i've spent the day being a big grown up girl and talking knowledgabely about all manner of things. i am exhausted! seriously looking forward to a bath and a big sleep. although given how badly i've been sleeping lately i shouldn't get too carried away. but i am happy that i've made it through today relatively unscathed even though i feel like my family is too many millions of miles apart and i really really really miss them all. cities are fun, but they don't do cuddles very well....one more sleep! and one big long warm bath first....
