but why
okay so i'm a bit fuzzy and everything but i just don't get this: there's a lot of ads on TV at the moment for the new Viva paper towel whose defining characteristic is apparantly that it 'works well' even when wet. so you can wet it to clean a messy kitchen. but the thing is, WHY would you want to? what's wrong with a dish cloth??

The companies would have us believe that an actual clothes collects all kinds of itty bitty germs which will make life Very Bad Indeed. A paper towel in contrast is clean out of the packet and full of microbe free goodness.
Or was that rhetorical?

it seems so. whhich raises an important point. you know how in Charles Dickens' novels he would occasionally lapse into sermonising and say things like "and that is why, dear reader, you should never be nasty to orphans or small chickens"...well despite the fact that you are probably the only reader that i have, even when i am at my MOST sermonising i promise i am not lecturing you. well. not usually anyway.

I feel confident I am not your only dear reader. However I do believe I have the title of most vocal well and truly without contest.
